The continuing Project Cherokee

Cherokees A thru E. I guess Cherokee F will need to be a BT-70 with 29mm power.
|
Just wondering what are the motor sizes of A to E?
|
Do a BT80 based Cherokee-G !
The Cherokee is one of my all-time favorites. |

A is 13mm, B and C are 18mm, D and E are 24mm. Pretty much forces my hand for the F & G. ;) |

Seems like the direction I'm heading in. |

How about a Cherokee 1/8A?
(Semroc Cherokee MX). |

If you plant that little guy with a little BP fertilizer and water it regularly, it will grow into a full size Cherokee-D. :D |
Go 38mm for the Cherokee-G.
I think Aerotech has a couple 38mm G motors. |
Nice set!
Semroc /eRockets has (or had) a BT-70 nose cone with the proper secant-ogive shape. Ah, here it is: http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-bals...-sem-bnc-70hac/ I used that in a standard BT-70 instead of BT-70H, needed just a little hand sanding for the shoulder. Then, when you're ready for 2.6", Sandman makes a perfect secant-ogive in basswood. I haven't yet asked him for a 4". eRockets now has a BT-4 scale cone too! <Edit> I see BarGeezer has posted the MX version - take out the MMT, and makes a nice minimum diameter for Apogee 10mm motors. :D |

That's pretty funny. I just found a bunch of old 10mm tubes, cones and tail cones yesterday. I remember buying them, then Apogee announcing that they were discontinuing the motors.  |
