New RC Rocket glider kits from Dynasoar Rocketry
It's been a while since I've been on this forum, quite a few new kits I've developed.
All are available on dynasoarrocketry.com along with build instructions, videos and more. I've personally been on a crusade for the last 5 years to provide easy to build and fly RC RG's at reasonable prices as well as providing motors at the lowest possible price to encourage people to try this. The kits are personally hand cut, slotted and boxed by me.
All are designed to use the 24mm E-6RC motor, I carry both the reload and reload casing at a significant discount, and single use versions. These motors have a nice long burn and give a gentle boost that is easy to control on the way up. These are sport flyers that have a good combination of ease of building, cool looks, and light wing loading.
The Draken RC Rocket glider kit harkens back to early sci-fi space ships. It comes with a plastic nose cone with molded canopy outline, 2.6″ white tubing for the body, 6mm depron wing and tail surface. Spars are pre-installed as are the rail buttons. Construction is very simple and takes about an hour and a half. Length 32″, wingspan 23″, weight 10.5 oz rtf.
The Space Transporter America RC Rocket glider kit is our largest model and requires a lot of time to kit. This model is based on the classic Estes Rocket from the 80ís updated with larger wings to enable glide. The kit includes a plastic nose cone, pre-installed rail buttons, pre-hinged control surfaces, pre-installed spars, pre-slotted white body tubes and pre-cut 6mm depron parts. Kit includes rail buttons. Length 40″, wingspan 23″, weight 11.5 oz rtf.
The Invader RC Rocket glider kit is based on the classic Centuri UFO Invader rocket kit but modified to glide. It has a mid mounted disc shaped wing and a graceful tail with wing mounted stabilizers. It comes with a plastic nose cone, 2.6″ white tubing for the body, Depron wing and 6mm depron tail surface. The wing is pre-grooved for the spar, control surfaces are pre-hinged, and the body tube is pre slotted for the vertical stab and wing. 38″ long, 20″ wingspan, 11-11.5 oz rtf.
The Iron Cross MK II If Germany had developed a WW1 Rocket powered interceptor, this is what I imagine it would have looked like. It has a graceful birdlike swept wing with scaloped trailing edges, a ww1 styled vertical stab, and an open cockpit. The MK II version is updated with even simpler construction. It comes with a plastic nose cone, 2.6″ white tubing for the body, Depron wing and 6mm depron tail surface. The wing is pre-grooved for the spar, control surfaces are pre-hinged, and the body tube is pre slotted for the vertical stab and wing. 33″ long, 23″ wingspan, 10.75-11 oz rtf.(painted)
The YF-12 RC Rocket glider kit The YF-12 RC Rocket glider kit is modeled after the interceptor version of the A-12/SR-71. It set speed and altitude records, was used to test Mach 3 missile launches using the Aim 47 missile at long range, and later by NASA for research. It comes with pre-slotted white BMS tubing for the body and engine nacelles, Depron wing and tail surfaces, elevons pre-hinged, pre-installed rail buttons, and spar grooves pre-cut. Wingspan 21.5″, length 40″(about 1/32 scale) weight 12.5-12.75 oz rtf.
The Battlecruiser II RC rocket glider kit is based on the classic Sci-Fi ship. Parts are laser cut from MPF(Model Plane Foam), wing spar is pre-installed, surfaces are pre-hinged. Rail buttons and motor hook are pre-installed. This model flies really well and looks great in the air. Wingspan 23.5″, length 30″, weight ready to fly 11 oz.
The AQM-37 Jayhawk is based on the mach 3+ target drone. It comes with white Estes tubing and plastic nose cone slotted for the canards, pre-cut 9mm depron wing and tail surfaces, elevons hinged, wing and tail edges beveled, spar slot pre-cut, body tube pre-slotted for the wing, and rail buttons pre-installed. Assembly takes about an hour and a half. Nice stable boost and gentle glide. Wingspan: 20″ Length: 37″ Weight RTF: 11.75-12.25 oz. Price for this kit is a bit higher due to the special lightweight PNC-80K nose cone that is only available from a single source.
The X-15 Delta Configuration RC Rocket glider kit is modeled after the proposed X-15 modification to allow sustained flight above Mach 6.7. It features a clipped delta wing, diamond shaped wingtips. It has a light wing loading giving it a very nice glide and easy/stable boost. It comes with a plastic nose cone, 2.6″ white tubing for the body and 9mm depron wing and tail surfaces. All Foam surfaces are pre-beveled. Elevons are pre-hinged, the rail buttons are pre-installed and the body tube is pre-slotted for the wing and tail. The wing spar is pre-grooved for the spar. Length 37″, wingspan 20″, weight rtf 11.7-12.25 oz
The Pegasus XL RC Rocket glider kit is modeled after the latest version of the air launched satellite delivery vehicle. It features a clipped delta wing, and angled down stabilizers. It comes with a plastic nose cone, 2.6″ white tubing for the body and 6mm depron wing and tail surfaces. Elevons are pre-hinged, the rail buttons are pre-installed and the body tube is pre-slotted for the tail surfaces. The wing and tail spars are pre-installed. Full color decals included. Length 38″, wingspan 23″, weight rtf 11 oz
