Hot and spicy or mild?
Hot and spicy or mild?
I'm a mild kinda guy. My favorite sulsa is a mild one with no particular brand in mind. So, there you go. |
I used to be Hot & Spicy for all food, but now decidedly "Medium"; mild isn't enough, but can't handle hot anymore.
My younger brother likes things "Branding Iron" hot and grows Carolina Reaper, Trinidad Scorpion, and Thai Hot Chiles. ONE Carolina Reaper in a GALLON of Salsa is enough. |
Both.
If it’s a Chick-fil-A sandwich it has to spicy. If it’s Thai food I prefer it spicy—but not “atomic”. For most other foods I prefer mild. |
Thai Food I used to get "Medium-plus" which is equivalent to Mexican "HOT".
I now go "Mild plus" or Medium depending on the Thai restaurant. I have a buddy of India ancestry that orders xtra Hot in Thai restaurants. He's insane. Just the fumes singe the nose hair. |
If you want to see a funny look on someone's face, tell them "Hot is not a flavor"...

I like hot, but not anything over habanero hot.
|
……and then there’s my brother. He’ll eat Carolina Reaper peppers by the handful….and without a milk chaser. He’s not human.
