Launch Date: January 26, 2020

Five Colorado Front Range rocketeers gathered at Dove Valley Regional Park in Denver to take advantage of perfect January flying weather.
An interesting range of models and motor combinations were flown, including some vintage B14's.....

Since I have so many photos, the event will be presented over 3 posts on my blog.

Part one is up as of this morning. Here is the link:

Nice, but dang! I would have liked to have seen a photo of the 3xB14 cluster leaving the pad!

I hurt my neck trying to follow, and I was standing back a bit. :)

It was there, and then it was gone.

I was running the launch of my 2-stage with the B14 booster. Standing 15 feet away and trying to follow really was painful.

Nice pics !

Jim Gazur flew the cluster model twice, once with B6-4s, and the second time with the B14s. The model carried a Pnut altimeter on both. The device measured 534' feet on both flights. Jim says it just took the second flight half as long to get there!

Hi, Y'all,
I do have a pic of that B14 cluster! One of us (likely Jesse) had shot a cel phone video of the flight. I was able to snip this image from the vid.
The model moved so fast that only 2 frames showed the rocket- this one and another just at the moment of ignition. Anyway, here it is- three B14s in their full glory!

Doesn't get much better than that in 18mm BP SU rocketry.
3xB14; a 50% D42 in a downsized Enerjet clone.
