Nike-Nike-Smoke

Comrades:

A couple of years ago somebody posted a drawing of the Nike-Nike-Smoke here. I dutifully downloaded it but when my hard drive failed a few weeks ago, I lost all of the stuff I downloaded over the years. I've looked using the Search function but can't find it, so if whoever posted that drawing could repost or show me the link, well, that'd be just great.

The other forum had it:

Note also the correction in that thread:

It looks like you've got "STA 279.0" listed three times on the drawing. I assume two of them should be something else.

Good catch. The top one is correct--it's the top of the 1st stage Nike motor, at the base of a 1.5-inch adapter section (actually the adapter has a much longer part that fits into the 2nd stage nozzle). The next one should be 297.75, and the bottom one should be 301.8 (That's the same flange as the one at the top of the 2nd stage, which I got from Stine's Nike Smoke data).

This data should be helpful about the Nike M-5 Booster.

Just so we have it here too, Here's the drawing and the picture:

Interesting.
Note that those are 3-fin Nike-Ajax style boosters, not the typical 4-fin Nike Smoke units.

Those "Nike-Ajax" fins have bee "clipped" in span, too.

Actually, to me, they look more like Terrier Booster fins . . .
