My son Joe is making a CAD file for the LIA-100 metal pieces so they can be laser cut. It will make them much nicer. Hopefully not too expensive.

David,

Please add me to the queue for the LIA-100 production run.

I was in Elkhart with my family last summer, visiting family in the area. Could have picked up a ’77 pad (and been shot by DW).

Thanks for your work on these.

Cheers,
Jon

77fair 02-21-2019 06:13 PM

Very good! I am keeping a list of those interested it the LIA-100 pads. Hopefully not too much longer.

stefanj 02-22-2019 09:25 AM

Add me to the list, if I'm not already!

Chas Russell 02-22-2019 11:26 AM

Please add my name to your list, also.

Chas

turbofireball 02-22-2019 12:22 PM

I have one of your LIA-77s. It's awesome. Can't wait to get a LIA-100 also. Please put me on the list. Thanks.

Ltvscout 02-22-2019 01:34 PM

David,

I'd like both an LIA-77 (still have my original from '69) and an LIA-100. That is, if you still have any LIA-77's left. If you could put one aside for me that way once the LIA-100's are ready they can go out in one shipment.

Thank you!

Scott

Vanel 02-24-2019 09:09 PM

Put me down for a LIA-100, please.

jetlag 02-24-2019 10:53 PM

I would like one of each, please. Just send them together when you are able to save a bit on shipping.
Thanks!
Allen

BEC 02-25-2019 12:59 PM

Add me to the LIA-100 list as well, please.

Bumping this thread up to add my name to the LIA-100 list.

Is there an actual list? This has been inactive for months. Any news?

Not an actual 'List' as far as I know - just the folks in this thread who've expressed an interest. I was hoping by bumping this thread up to the fore, it might catch 77Fair's attention.

You'd probably have better luck contacting him directly. Send him a PM or try the email address on the bottom left of the order form at the link on the first post in this thread.

Small run Of LIA-77 style:

Hi,
We do have a small run of the LIA-77 style pads ready to ship. The LIA-100 project has suffered from a series of uncontrollable events. I really want the metal parts for the 100's to be laser cut from the proper metal guage, then formed. It is still in the works.

Thanks,
David

rraeford 04-08-2020 02:00 PM

Thanks for the update. Still interested. Do you have the wood parts made? I would be interested in getting that. I can make the rest.

ghrocketman 04-08-2020 05:30 PM

Still interested in a LIA-100 but not the smaller 77.

77fair 05-03-2020 06:12 PM

I have been keeping a list of people interested in an LIA-100 style launch pad. It currently has 16 people on it. This is looking like it is going to happen soon with the laser cut steel deflector. A price still needs to be established as well. Thank you all for the interest,

David

ghrocketman 05-03-2020 07:03 PM

How about that price ?
Ball-park estimate would be nice.

stefanj 05-04-2020 10:02 AM

I'm interested in one of each; I figure this is a good excuse to spend the "help local businesses" part of my stiumulus money.

David,

I don’t know if you have me on the list, but if not, could you please add me?

Thanks.

Cheers,
Jon

CenturiBAR 05-05-2020 07:31 AM

I'm interested in a LIA-100 also. Already have one of your 77's and I like it!

For those who may have purchased the LIA-77 pad, here is a scan of the vintage Centuri instructions to go along with it.

I'm STILL interested in a LIA-100.
Any progress on this one ??

mycrofte 02-25-2021 04:12 PM

Now that it has warmed up, I have started on a LIA-100. Got the base plate (somewhat) done.

I have never had one and wondering if anyone does. Might be over thinking it but need to know the threads and length of the leg screws. Also need dimensions of the blast deflector wood block.

Rocketguy101 and I worked to document all the dimensions of the Centuri ID-100 deflector assembly, including the wooden block, at the following thread:
https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/sho...00&postcount=70

The leg patterns can be found here: https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/sho...3&page=10&pp=10

A copy of the instructions for the Centuri LIA-100 Heavy Duty Launcher are also attached as well as a photo of my original Centuri LIA-100 Heavy Duty Launcher and EP-612 Professional Firing Panel.

Hope he gets a batch done soon.

mycrofte 02-26-2021 08:54 AM

OK, another test question. What kind of screws mount the wood block to the Blast Deflector? I am guessing they are small flat-head screws and lift that end up just a bit.

Hi Brian,

For reference, I have a photo attached of both my old Centuri ID-100 Igniter Deflector assembly and a new Centuri ID-77 Igniter Deflector assembly side by side with the fasteners shown for the wood block on the ID-77 Igniter Deflector assembly. They are round pan head wood screws. I will have to check the fasteners on my ID-100 Igniter Deflector assembly when I get home this evening and will let you know.

Edit: Found another photo of my old Centuri ID-100 Igniter Deflector back view, which also shows round pan head wood screw fasteners in the top of the wood block to hold the metal tabs and micro-clip leads in place. I suspect that the bottom fasteners are the same, but I will double check.

Kind regards,

The fasteners for the Centuri LIA-100 Heavy Duty Launcher tripod legs are shown in the attached photo. The total fasteners for the legs include six slotted flat head countersunk machine screws #10 x 24 threads per inch x 2 inches long, six #10 flat washers, and six #10 wing nuts.

The wooden triangle base launch rod support glued on the bottom of the 0.250 inch thick Masonite triangular platform is 1.125 inches on three sides x 0.750 inches tall.

The photo below shows the slotted round pan head #6 x 0.500 inch long wood screws used for attaching the wooden standoff block to the base of the deflector and which holds the micro-clip leads and metal tabs for the ID-100 Igniter Deflector assembly to the top edge of the wooden standoff block.

I'm still working on the base. Not easy getting clean cuts on a triangle. Must be why no one is cranking these out any more.

Has anyone heard ANY update on this upcoming batch of LIA-100 pads ???

I am still working on them. Had problems with the leg wood chipping on the router. Then it got to cold to work for a while. Planning on cutting out new legs (third set) today.

I am definitely interested in one of each (LIA-77, LIA-100).

ghrocketman 10-14-2023 01:04 PM

Anything new on this batch of LIA-100 pads ?
It's been Four YEARS... thinking another bunch of vaporware....

WHy not just use the patterns and make your own ?

Dave F.

mycrofte 10-14-2023 04:01 PM

That is what I was trying but had router issues. I have a couple that are functional but not great.

Been busy catching up on the house after my wife's hip replacement.

ghrocketman 10-14-2023 04:15 PM

Why not make my own ?
The same reason I buy KITS instead of scratch-cloning...wayyyyy too much work doesn't fit in with my LAZINESS CREDO.
