Miter Cut / Fin Guide Template Tools

Hi, all! I'm wondering if there's a program or website where I can generate templates for angled miter cuts, as shown in Chris Michielssen's "Model Rocket Building" blog:

https://modelrocketbuilding.blogspo...art-5-tube.html

Apparently Matt Stum's "Template Widget" isn't available any more, and Gary Crowell's VCP program doesn't run on 32- or 64-bit computers.

I also miss VCP's "specify the individual angles for your fin template" option. I think it went up to 8 fins, but 12 fin positions would be a nice option.

A little help, here? Thanks in advance!

They are all over the place. You've just got to think of plumbing and metal work instead of model rockets. Here's the first two entries on a quick search.

Woah, I didn't think VCT got distributed that much - and I didn't think it would run on Win7. Have to take another look at that. I was thinking of trying to re-work that in Python sometime.

Gary,

Good to hear from you! Yes, VCT was my go-to program for generating transition and fin guide templates for many year earlier this century (!). :o

VCT runs on Windows 7 (64-bit) just fine. I thought I had my copy of it backed up on an external hard drive, but apparently not.

If you decide to update VCT, I'd be happy to continue using it. Thanks again for providing this service to us rocketeers. :D

Cheers and blessings,
