Gordy was a master wood turner, I don't think he would have asked Carl for help with turning nose cones.
Randy, i later realized my response on the other thread might have come across as curt. I apologize for that. That was not my intention.
Have you checked with Sheryl? If anyone would know about the history of that product she would.
Carl was known for being generously accomodating to individual requests for custom turnings. I'm speculating this might have been a one off, like the Soyuz nose cone.
