I had a couple problems with my Corvette kit. Firstly, the nosecone is made from a material that does not melt when you put the recommended plastic cement on it; I had to rough up the inner surface of the cone and use epoxy to assemble the nosecone + lower piece.
Secondly, I ran across a set of lousy decals. Several of them broke while trying to put them on. I'm not exactly a decal noob.
I mentioned both of these issues to Estes, and got the usual "we'll tell marketing".
Nonetheless, I still think its a good kit, though I haven't been able to fly mine yet.
