(...Continued)

"When we last left our hero, he and the other members of the tour group were walking through the Estes Conference Room looking at the models on display.

Return with us now to that moment in time..."

Having made a quick walk through the conference room, the tour group exited back into the lobby area.

At this point either Ellis or Bill walked to the East/right hallway and invited everyone to follow him.

As the group walked past the offices on the right side of the hallway we quickly came upon a doorway with an "Area 51" sign on the left side. This was John Boren's R&D department.

Everyone crowded around the doorway which was blocked off so no one could enter but you could look in.
There was a table strategically placed a few feet away from the doorway displaying many current, past and prototype kits.
Many of the models were ones John Boren had flown at the NSL the previous year. These were his own designs and not things Estes was working on.
The big 1/45th scale Saturn 1B was on display, a survivor of NARAM-34.

One guy took out his phone and started to photograph inside the doorway.
He was reminded that we were asked not to take pictures. His response was to glare back
at people and continue to take pictures.

(This is why we can't have nice things).

We moved on down the hallway, making a 90 degree right turn followed by a 90 degree left turn ten feet later...
