I bought a bunch of the Booster-55 booster/fin units when Hobby Lobby clearanced them for 99 cents. Makes for a cheap rocket with addition of a BT-55 body tube and nose cone. I turned a couple nose cones from basswood when I ran out of balsa. Those things are heavy! But, I love turning basswood. Minimal sanding was required. Balsa turning is more like controlled tearing at times.
