I still need to get a coat of primer on it and do a swing test but did consider that making it tail heavy. Even though the fins are 1/8" bass wood, I broke them several times trying to shape and sand them.

A little scorching I can handle. So long as it doesn't come down in flames! Might glue a strip of foil down the inside.
