As mentioned, I do a fair amount of selling on ebay. And it is both true and correct that, should you list the kits on ebay, you will get the market price for them. They are desireable and collectible. However, be aware that the market is on the down side currently so the price you will get is half of what you would get 5 years ago. If you are not in financial need, I would councel you to hold on to them until the economy is back up again, as I believe you will get more. However, if you just want to get a fair price and put them in the hands of someone who will truly appreciate the kits (like Earl), then ebay is the place.
