Exclamation Revised Design -- Flamsteed's Folly

This design has been tugging at me since I posted it, back in 2006. The performance was good, but the Dv numbers were too high for my comfort. The solution was a sweeping change in the tube lengths and the fin shapes. It's almost a new design as a result, but I think there's enough of the original to keep the name.

The fin material has been changed to 0.05" matteboard. I don't have as much distaste of this material since using some of Carl's custom fins for another design, which is still holding up after nearly eight years.

This, then, becomes the Mk II version.

Length: 32.23"
Diameter: 1.34" (ST-13)
Fin Span: 3.59"
Weight: 2.10 oz

B6-4......298'......Dv 16 FPS
C6-5......700'......Dv 14 FPS

It is safe to use a standard 1/8" x 36" launch rod for both engines. I don't recommend the B4-4, as the Dv number is higher for little to no improvement in altitude.

Enjoy!
