A few of my favorite FSI powered flights that I have archived from my photo album. Left to right: FSI Penetrator D18-6 flown on 6/27/78. A different FSI Penetrator E5-6 flown on 5/18/88. Lastly a LOC precision Aura F100-8 flown on 10/1988.

The first orange and chrome monokote FSI Penetrator that was launched from that parking lot is where the ill fated E5-0/E5-6 Star Gazer flew from. If you look at that picture the big dark rectangle is a strip of businesses that marked the very edge of the parking lot. The Star Gazer flew over those buildings under power dropping the booster in our Parking lot on the way and cleared those buildings and a four lane highway behind those buildings and pranged in a parking lot on the other side of the highway. A nine second I nearly crapped my pants flight and the upper stage looked like an accordion.

GH would have loved it ...
