For many years afterwards, the Universal Shroud kit (TA-1) had a lingering clue as to the existence of the Mercury Capsule; the shroud pattern had a line for "MC" printed on it.
I'll build a retro-model based on the instructions for use with my Semroc Mercury Capsule.

Actually, the one from the 1970 catalogue is what I refer to as a type II. You can see it here .
The one I posted is from 1963. That's the first year it was in the catalogue.
