I printed the pdf using Acrobat Reader, and the size of the graphics didn't change. My concern with the pdf is that the graphics my come out resized with different print settings. I see decals as pdf on the plan sites and wonder how true to size they are. I generally avoid pdfs if I can find and alternative.

I tested the import using the .PDF that had the embedded fonts. Let's just say that that's not what we want to do. I was able to do the import and get the correct looking font as long as I used the Poppler / Cairo import. However, none of the glyphs were editable.
I think that we're best off converting the text to paths if we want to share the .SVG files.
