I've seen footage of them flying with an unlit motor, so it should work.

I have flown my FlisKits Dueces Wild with a B6-6 and C6-5 motor combination with no issues, it flies great and parachute ejects just after apogee. I matched the average thrust and the total burn time of both motors. I also used a B6-4, C6-3 combination, this also works great. Keep in mind that once the rocket is up to speed the mismatched thrust from the C6 after the B6 burn out will have relatively less of an effect on the flight characteristics, the high speed air over the fins exerts enough restoring force to keep the rocket flying straight.
