That was true many years ago, but today eBay charges their fees on the shipping charge as well. So when you see a shipping charge listed like that it is almost always a mistake, and almost always caused by allowing eBay’s automatic system to figure out the shipping to each buyers location. If I see a ridiculous shipping charge like that on an item I am interested in I contact the seller and I am almost always thanked for letting them know.
