You can see from the AltimeterThree screen shot (second image) the actual delay was 6.55 seconds and it was just 0.15s too long. So, in short, no.
I actually have flown a -8 in that model....too long.
Here's flight data for a C18-8W in the same model, flown a little over a week later: https://flightsketch.com/flights/1259/
As you can see in the graph, the delay was too long.
The picture is right at ignition, off of a ~1967 Electro-Launch.
Added: picture of snap-back damage from too-long delay, and time-acceleration curve from the FS Mini, which shows the shape of the time-thrust curve nicely.
