I had been meaning to contact Sue about the "old style" #24 blades. So far I haven't broken any of mine and I'm still on the first one and keeping it sharpened.
I guess that's one thing I like about the #24 those don't seem as prone to breaking the tips if I bear down on them a bit.

I found a replacement in the event I'm left with broken blades and broken hearted:
