All the balsa is 3/32" thick. Not sure if the nose cone would be sold my itself.

I’ve not watched the video. I first painted the cone and the boost unit winter gray. I then masked off and painted the boost unit’s fins and the cone’s nose section dark gray. I’ll do the remaining painting by hand when I return from CA. As for the inside of the plastic cone, I’ll ask “The Vixen” to hand paint it in a flat, neutral color—possibly VERY light gray.

Tamiya acrylics are not water-based, they are solvent-based. They dry super fast.

Here's my treatment of the DARC-1. Now THAT was one tough build! (very refreshing, actually)

"The Vixen" hand painted the inside of the plastic skirt with MM flat neutral gray. The black canopy and black belly shield I freehanded with gloss enamel.
