Default Semroc single digit numbered kits on the horizon

My archeological expedition has finally reached the first tote/bin of low-numbered Semroc kits that I'll be prepping for sale over the next few days. I'll update this post by Thursday with the kits, their numbers and asking prices. First dibs here to what I'd consider the truest of Semroc fans. Anything left after a week will go on ebay to the masses.

These are some of the lowest numbers you'll ever find--most in the 6/7/8 range. As you probably know, the first 5 were held by the family, and I've picked up quite a few of those, which is why I'm freeing these up. My aspiration whenever I get around to retiring will be to build one of every kit to the highest display quality I can, pair with the lowest unopened numbered kit of each I have, and either donate to the NAR museum (if they ever get through their backlog of Estes/Stein material) or let my heirs babysit them until someone else can establish an appropriate museum honoring this great company/family.

LOL, the "in process" list (no pics) can be viewed at

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...dit?usp=sharing

All told there are probably about 50 kits, I just need to do a quick check on each to make sure it's not my only/lowest before I put it on the list, plus hit the wayback machine to see what they originally sold for so I have some rough idea what to offer them for.

So did Bruce sell a bunch of his? I think that was their son's name. As I recall, several early Centuri catalogs were posted to ebay by (I think) Bruce shortly after Carl passed. Hard to believe that later this month his passing will be NINE years ago.... I really miss Carl.

What a great family and family business.

I don't know if Bruce sold all of his kits but he did sell some early catalogs,
He sold me a 1966 Centuri catalog that he said was his Fathers. That year at NARAM in Arora Ohio, I was set up in venders row next to Carl and his family, Bruce and I had lunch together at the hot dog stand, Carl and I did a lot of talking about old model rockets. Soon after all three of us got sick, as we know Carl did not make it, Bruce was in the hospital for weeks, I was sick as a dog and had to go to the doctor. after that I got M.S. ??? Some thing in the water?
I miss Carl and the old Semroc to.

I'll confirm Bruce sold a bunch of the family number kits (1-5). I think I've picked up just about all the #2/#3's he had, about half the #4's, and am working on one more purchase of whatever's left.

I haven't asked about any of the #1's, fairly sure I couldn't afford them even if they were available but I'm also thinking Carl had specific instructions for those.

What I'd really like to track down is Carl's personal collection of Fliskits #1's. Jim had always held back #1 of every kit and would eventually put it up for auction with proceeds going to NAR's charity fund. I am not sure where ELSE they might have been listed, but over the years had ebay alerts for them, bid on every listing, won about 75% of them, but barely have 1/3 of Flis's total product line. Jim told me many times that Carl had by far the biggest stash of his #1's, and I was a distant second.

No SLS kits huh ?
I'd be interested in another Hustler, Aero Dart, and Scorpion if you had those.
