I for one think that letting the Museum of Flight or Estes having the Historical items is a great idea. That way the items can be on display for all to see and not tucked away in a closet or on a shelf in someone's Rocket Room. Way back when Jonathan was collecting these items they were not that rare and he collected for several years. But the compulsiveness of of collecting Rockets has turned collecting into a monster. I know as I have been bitten myself, I started collecting in 1978 and I would still be collecting today except for lake of space.

Where were the bidders on this one? I would have expected this one to go for 3 to 4 times this price, maybe more...........

I went up to $51 but no more on it.
Would have went higher if was the rarer but later green skill level hang tag version.
Kits just do not have nearly as high of value to me as others, with a very few exceptions.

That is a pretty low price for an early Trident. Looked t be in pretty good condition too. I never even saw that one come up in any of my model rocket searches. Not sure why I never saw it.

A good looking Camroc collection at (so far) a very reasonable price.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/165758655975

I'd expect it to go quite a bit higher before it closes (last Camroc I saw on ebay went for well over $100, and it was nowhere near as nice as this).
Heck, I'd be tempted if I didn't already have one...

Some here have commented about not getting some of the Semroc SLS kits when they were still available. While they do come up on ebay now and then, it is not that often.

Here is a listing for a Hustler. Bidding starts at $72, Buy It Now for $114, plus shipping.

Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2755605200...ABk9SR6KPlJeZYQ

Not my listing nor do I know the lister.

I have a pre-production one that Carl sent to me in a box or I would grab this one.
The starting price seems reasonable but the BIN price is way high.

Carl sent me a pre-production Hustler has well. It came without decals, which he sent at a later date.

I'll say it once again, I sure miss Carl and the original Semroc.

I have a built Just The Parts kit that Carl produced. Built it and flew it at N48. Lee Piester signed the model, but it had some damage on thr ride home. I built and flew a production kit once on an F15-6. Need to fly it again. I do have one (2?) more kits up in the attic.
Always wanted the Hustler from Centuri. Carl and Sheril made the dream come true.

Chas

Carl and Sheryl were the Gold Standard of the hobby.
We were lucky to see that in our lifetime.
Sad, sad loss.
