That sounds familiar. Isn’t that where the GM Saturn plant was?

Saturn is in Spring Hill, a little southwest of Nashvegas. Maryville is in East TN, near Knoxville. The plant is retooling for electric Cadillacs, iirc.

Another arms manufacture feeling a BLUE STATE, An it makes me wonder?
How long before SIG SAUER, BERETTA and HENERY follow along. If not for the absurd taxes, the Political environment. The dedication and skill level of employees would make me want to move.

Barrett Manufacturing, famous for bolt action and semi-auto BMG's is in Murfreesboro, TN (Christiana technically) as well. He has always been there. His business was just starting out when I was at MTSU. Seemed to be a really nice guy back then, so I've enjoyed watching his business grow. Several companies have moved manufacturing to the south, though some HQ's remain in the blue, for now.

Beretta still has their HQ in Accoceek Maryland, not far from where I used to live. Only thing being done there now is pushing paperwork. They used to perform manufacturing there till Maryland passed even more insane gun regulations a few years ago. They shut down the manufacturing side because of it and moved it to Tennessee. Knew some folks who lost their jobs because of that. I think some moved to the new plant.

I wonder if Springfield Armory will follow suite and head for more reasonable place to do business ? FN America and Palmetto Armory are in Colombia SC. This is a good central location.

Remington moved some stuff to Alabama a while back. There's plants in SC, TX, GA, PA, etc. of various manufacturers that have moved out of the NE. I know Remington has gone bankrupt, but IIRC, their ammo side and firearms side have been bought by a couple companies and will continue to produce.

I wonder if Ruger will move their Northern plants (2 in the North East ) Down South. It seams like
except for Ohio that most states East of the Mississippi and North of the Mason Dixon are just not that gun friendly any more.
