Default Estes Catalog Collection

Here's a decent buy on Estes catalogs, mid through late 70s. Not a bad price if you are a catalog collector and need these to fill spots in the collection.

Not my listing nor do I know the lister.

Might pick that up.
1977 was a dark year for rocketry in my book.
Several favorites were done after that year.
Estes Saturn 1B, Astron Skydart, Astron Scrambler to name a few.

Speaking of the 1b, it’s not a deal certainly, but it is one not often seen: a shrink-wrapped, seemingly pristine copy. Pricey though: $395.

Another one is out there in same condition for $875.
They regularly go for under $300.
I told the guy asking $875 he was a loon.

Yeah, I remember that one. It is NOT shrink wrapped however. It has some tape sealing the tops and bottom of the box, but it is in far less pristine condition. So, the $895 price is in the 'loon' category for sure.

This more recent one ($395) is certainly way pricey, but if one were looking for a 'pristine' Estes Saturn 1b kit still shrink wrapped, it might be the ticket. I'm not looking for that kit personally (I've got two, though neither are shrink wrapped, and a third very early version when it went more by the name 'Uprated Saturn' back in the latter 60s), but if I were I would not mind spending the bucks for the proper specimen.

I hope no one pays these kind of ridiculous prices and fees. This one is at $555 CAD + $42 shipping. Also he has it in Ebay's Glodal Shipping Program, which adds another $108 CAD import fees. If the sellers would fall into this gouging program, USPS wouldn't charge import fees on pretty much anything less than $200.
UPS also gouges with import fees for Canadians. I bought 3 kits (private sale) from a guy in Texas and UPS charged me over 85% of the item value.

Yeah, once had a shipper send my item ($300) out of the US to Canada by UPS and it cost me over $100 brokerage fee. What a rip! And eBay's Global Shipping Program collects duty on every item over $20 and remits it to Canada Customs...............so they're happy, because they can't be bothered charging duty on anything less than $100. So for me, no more UPS, and I don't bid on items that ship through the eBay program.

This eBay seller has two lots of Estes/Centuri kit plans and publications for sale. Looks like a decent collection in each lot. A number of us old timers may have a decent number of these, but there may be some things in these lots that someone is looking for.

I bought some good Enerjet literature from this seller a year or so ago...he is a former long-time modroc guy, as I recall. Smooth transaction with him. Starting price is only $9.

Here’s the link (he has only about eight items total, so the two lots are easy to find in this list): https://www.ebay.com/sch/chbl-82/m....=p2047675.l2562

Not my listing nor do I personally know the lister.

Estes 631 and 641 sold for big bucks on eBay. 631 went for over $760! It was the nicest one I think I have seen.
