How you package kits you just sold
Amigos!
I am looking to sell some of my kits from my collection in the near future. But I am located in Puerto Rico and I am not sure if using USPS will be cost effective in terms of shipping costs to the mainland. So I am reaching out to my compadres on the forum to see how they pack and ship their kits to their customers. I want the kits to arrive well at their destinations after the sale. Also tell me how you calculate the shipping. Thanks for your input. V/R -=> Raul

I rarely sell except for a time about 7 years ago when I was thinning my herd of doubles, and kits that were just to valuable to build. I always shipped USPS, wrapped/padded the kits with a lot of newspaper then boxed them. Never any damage.
If you want boot-prints on packages and plenty of random damage/mayhem, go with UPS. I always guesstimated shipping higher than it would possibly cost, never below $10 even back then. I have a cousin that worked for UPS while in college back in the 90's. He said they would DELIBERATELY Boot -Print packages to make them LOOK damaged. Needless to sayyyyyy, I found this hilarious ! Yuk, yuk, yukkity, yukk, yukk !
