Default NIB Centuri Defender on ebay

To anyone on the forum that may be interested, there is a pristine Centuri Defender kit on ebay.....for those that do not know, this is the larger version of the Centuri (Semroc) Recruiter kit that uses a 3-engine 18mm BP cluster.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Cool! I have a Semroc Recruiter that I'm in the middle of building right now, but I had never heard of the Defender.

I think the Defender is a much cooler kit than the Recruiter due to the cluster feature.
Hopefully Semroc will add this one to the future releases.
I'd clone it beforehand if the plans/parts list were ever published.
If you look at the kit carefully, you see that the kit has very long "Motor tubes" similar to the arrangement on the Enerjet 2250 and 2650.

Just between us, I saw a Centuri Defender earlier this month at NARAM-48 in Phoenix. A member, who will not be named, gave an unopened kit to Carl McLawhorn of Semrocs. This could be a future offering from Semroc.
BTW, I need to contact JOHN DYER about getting my phone charger back.

Carl was speculating about the ST-16 tubing as standard ST-7's would cause a deformation of the tubes.

We shall see.

Chas

I'd bet this sells for $300-$400, easy. The Defender, in that condition and age, is VERY rare.

Carl from Semroc already mentioned to me that a certain someone (that I will leave un-named) gave him a Defender at NARAM....I pointed the auction out to Carl before I put my posting here on the Forum. You should contact JOHN DYER about getting that charger back.

Be great to see this one offered ( or maybe Carl would gratiously submit the plans to YORP ??? )

I've drooled over this since I got into 'vintage' a couple years back, as I have a balsa adapter RT16 to RT10 ( iirc ), that was surmised to be used on this kit only .

wait n see... Carl ?

( have to run out and touch up the paint on the K27 restoration , almost ready for Phred's decals )

I'd like to see both of these done myself.
