Default ARA Press

Has anyone tried to order from this site recently? I can't seem to get it to work. It keeps telling me that they cannot send to my address. Also, there is no contact link that I can see.

Yeah, I looked around on the website myself and could not find a single contact email address or phone number.

Jack Hagerty is the name I most closely associate with ARA Press, but I don’t know if he is the owner or not. Maybe someone here has a contact email or phone number for him.

Let me contact Jack and see what's going on.

One further development, ARA Press apparently charged my account but I have no indication (so far) from them that my order is being filled. This is unexpected mostly because I was unable to get to the part of the transaction where I actually place the order.

New update: one week and a hurricane evacuation later and still nothing. I will be contacting my bank on Monday to put a stop to this.

Odd. I think I bought the Level 1 book download sometime in the last 12 months from them and that transaction was fine - charged me and sent the file download link promptly. And I think both the Aerial Photo and Camera Payload e-books were announced in the NAR magazine recently...

Charge no longer showing up so no harm done. Still a weird experience. I do want to get the books I am after so I hope Jack responds.

Could the site have been hacked and someone is harvesting credit card info from unsuspecting "customers"?

Jack is a good friend and I’m sure he will straighten things out. A couple years ago I ordered the N-1 book from him. Very prompt service. He even gave me the NAR discount after I placed the order, which I was unaware of.

The N-1 book is very nice. I’m anxiously awaiting the release of the Dyna Soar book by ARA Press, it’s from another good friend — Roy Houchin.
