Estes called me
I ordered some kits from the recent sale that arrived Saturday. This afternoon Estes customer service called and left a nice message and asked if I would please call them and let them know if the order was OK. They left a direct phone number to call back. I had not opened the box, it was a small 25 dollar order. I opened the box in the evening and the kits (and Doorknob Decal) were in good shape. I'll call tomorrow and see if there was something specific that prompted the call, but if they are just checking in that's very nice.

"Thank you, sir. We're glad your order arrived safely. We look forward to your future purchases."
CLICK "Well?" "He didn't get your wallet shipped to them either." "SIGH. Well, that's twenty three orders down. Who's next?"

Could be!!
No room for any wallet, I think they have boxes in Sizes of 1/4 inch increments and a computer program that tells them which one to pick since not an additional sheet of paper would have fit In there and there was no damage at all. The last sale was so good I can’t imagine how many calls they would have to make. |

Since Estes was a kind of Mythical presence in my childhood, I did get a thrill when I got the message, like one of the kids who got a golden ticket in Willie Wonka. Maybe I’ve been picked for something! I am a design of the quarter winner from 1993, so I’m sure I am well known there (kidding!)
I got the person’s voicemail when I called back and left a message. |
