Really? You sent an email yesterday....Thanksgiving Day? Like most businesses, they were closed. Did you really expect a response? And judging by the comments to their Black Friday sale, they got plenty of orders.

To address two recent posts.

Estes has a BT-65 Blow Molded Nose Cone. It should be posted online soon.

Estes is CLOSED Thursday and Friday this week for Thanksgiving.

Estes will reopen Monday.

Is something wrong with the Estes website? I've been unable to login and get a message my password incorrect. Also won't send an email to reset my password.

I ended up placing an order as a guest and contacting customer service describing the login problem.

A little kudos to Estes customer service is due. Being Saturday, I didn't expect any response to my email about the login problem until Monday at the earliest. But within a couple hours, a helpful network admin replied and said he'd fixed my account.

Thank you for contacting us. We have heard reports of our account system not working for a few customers during our black friday deals. I've gone ahead and updated your password manually, and you should be able to login ...

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you, and thank you for your order!

Happy Holidays!

Well, looks like the official 'barn burner' sale is over, but many of the same kits and sets are still on sale, just not at the same level of discount. At the previous prices, I wound up placing a second order for the scale kits. I suspect I may not be the only one who did that....

It was so tempting to pull the trigger on another $50 order, but I abstained. I finally thought that if I finish the 12 I have in various stages of completion by this time next year, I’ll be down to around 150 kits, and ready to do another Black Friday-Cyber Monday sale.

I wonder what will be on sale next year?
