Default Pale Rider

Pale Rider.

A Clint Eastwood film.
I like most CE films and I got the chance to visit the location it was filmed around
The Grand Tetons.
Outstanding!
Need I say more?

Yep that's a good one... IIRC Clint managed to resurrect the Western genre with that one... it had been declared 'dead' after the absolutely GINORMOUS flop that was "Heaven's Gate" a few years before IIRC, which had an absolutely HUGE budget and was a total and complete flop.

Pale Rider was a terrific movie... Also had Richard Kiel (JAWS from the Bond franchise, who was an almost identical character to "Reese" from "Silver Streak", Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder's first film together from 1976, a train thriller) as a bad guy who Clint teaches a lesson. Also a young and very hot Sydney Penney who's in love with Clint. "The Marshal" and his gang of gunslingers hired to clean out Clint and the "gold panners" by the bad guy is John Russel, and also featured Billy Drago as one of the gunslingers, who was the main bad guy on "The Adventures of Briscoe County, Junior", a western/fantasy type show from the 90's. Also starring was Michael Moriarty as "Hull", the quiet would-be companion of Clint.

Terrific film. Wish they still made them like that one! OL J R

Great film, but I found "Unforgiven" better.
Open Range is my favorite Western.
