Default Another no glue kit from Estes, Star Hopper

The fins/legs look like a bowlegged lineman from OSU or Michigan.

Never mind some of the odd looks....that's a mini-motor addition to the family of models that have screw-on motor retainers and the ARF fin interface. There also appears to be a new nose cone. These parts ought to inspire some interesting models, in addition to this one itself.

I think Bill Stine discussed this model during the Virtual NARAM Manufacturers' Forum.

I saw the Star Hopper today for the first time in an email from Estes announcing the Labor Day Sale.

Steve, me too. I was surprised to see it when I browsed the sale notice.

To me, it looks like the Luna Bug’s older sibling.

I have to say, Estes is just killing it these days with the very high detail plastic molded parts. I don't really NEED a kit this simple, but it looks great and they clearly aren't skimping on new, novel, high quality parts.
