Estes X-Ray (K18/1218) Decals
Can anyone confirm whether the Estes X-Ray kit ever came with decals. When it was introduced in 1966, it was shown with a "stars & bars" and from 1971 to 1976 it was shown with a custom "X-Ray" decal.
Even though the kits were pictured with decals in the catalog, it is my understanding that these decals were NOT included in the kit but had to be purchased separately. The custom "X-Ray" decal, for instance was included on supplemental decal sheet "D-11" while the stars & bars would have been on sheet "D-1" or "D-2". Can anyone that had or has one of those early X-Ray kits confirm this? |

I built one from the 70s skill level kit package in and it had no decals. The instructions online from the early kits list no decals, and the last version of the kit is detailed here:http://www.seateddimevarieties.com/...8_rainbowht.htm
And does not list decals enclosed. So I think like you said it was only on the kit names decal sold separately. |
