I really despise ebay sellers like this one: HOBBYSPEED Hobby Shop

They want neary $10 for a catalog that Estes will give to you for free and only charge you for shipping. For me, this was only $3.50.

I can see charging for a catalog that is out of print. Fair enough. But c'mon, this just came out. Some of these sellers should get a good swift kick in the tenders. Wish fleabay gave the option for blocking unscrupulous sellers.

My 2024 catalog came without prices. Am I missing something?

Interesting that they are simultaneously rigorously pursuing a MAP policy while removing prices from the catalog. So you have to go to the web site to see what MSRP is, and it could theoretically be updated at any time.

Feels gamey, but I'd have to speculate excessively to explore why. Just in general, reducing visibility to the final consumer of what the pricing is expected to be while simultaneously getting aggressive about controlling what pricing is actually allowed, behind the scenes with distributors and dealers, feels wrong.

Calling it "gamey" is about as positive one could be.
Seems like PRICE FIXING SCAMMY which they will only get away with until challenged.

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, TURMOIL, FIASCOS, and HAVOC !

You WILL sell those Mars Leaper non-rockets for $25 or we'll be mad.

I've seen dealers on another site say something like "agreement," which, in my (IANAL) research, might indeed be legally problematic. I am mildly intellectually curious about details that are opaque to me.

Anybody know who came up with that loser of an idea? The Landorf owned Estes has generally been above such silliness...

Your most admired Estes kit, the Mars Leaper, was a Bill Stine project.

Actually I am surprised that so many people hate this rocket. I like it. Fun kit to launch in your backyard with your Grandkiddos. They love it!
