Default Enerjet Nike Ram on ebay

There is a pristine NIB Enerjet Nike Ram currently for sale on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Centuri-Enerjet...1QQcmdZViewItem

It still has over 9 days left and is currently over $259.00 !!!!!

I really like to collect and build old kits and realize this one is fairly rare, but $259+ for a kit that can be built from less than $20 in parts from Semroc ??? C'mon now....

At least the Enerjet Nike Smoke I bought for around $85 has a cone that is not being currently reproduced (the moldin oldies cone is close, but due to the material used it is not really suitable for the "real smoker" cone of the Enerjet kit)

Well, almost pristine. It's missing the Centuri glue bottle that came with it and he's not guaranteeing that the instructions are in the box. Still, it's cool to see a rare old kit like that.

Wonder why someone would go to the trouble to lift the glue?

So build 25 of them.

I have my Semroc tubes & mounts, Excelsior decals and Sandman basswood nose cones to build a few of these. I downloaded the images from the eBay auction ad to save with my other EnerJet files, as this will probably be the closest I'll ever come to actually owning "an original" based on what one of these can draw at the auctions

I hope whoever gets this kit realizes its worthless without the EnerJet glue required to assemble it

It's almost up to $600 now.
These guys bidding must have fallen out of a seriously tall tree and SEVERELY BUMPED THEIR HEADS !

I have seen an Aero-Dart and Athena go for this and more when NIB.
I once saw an Athena go for $900+, with the Aero-Dart for something under $700.
At least those kits are interesting...the Nike-Ram is more or less a fire-&-forget model using ANY Enerjet equivalent motor unless at a HUGE field.
Most reasonable H-powered rockets fly lower than this thing does on an E24.

Cool! Tell us how/when you came across the Enerjet kits, Bob. I always like hearing the stories behind old finds like that.
