Default Happy 100th Birthday Annie Glenn

John Glenn's widow Annie turns 100 years old today. Reportedly "doing fine" she has avoided public appearances since John's passing at 95 in 2016.

I saw this on-line this evening, along with a photo of a very dashing young USMC officer by the name of John Glenn. Happy Birthday Annie!

I remembered reading in Glenn’s autobiography a number of years ago that Annie was actually a little more than a year older than he. Already over three years now since he passed.

He was the last surviving Mercury astronaut, but not sure how many other Mercury wives survive besides Annie.

Earl

Addendum: Ok, looks like Carpenter’s first wife, Rene, still survives at age 91. And Cooper’s second wife still survives, but I could not find an age for her.

What a real shame, this d**n virus....

Annie Glenn passed earlier today from Covid-19 complications. God bless ya Annie, as I pray you and John are flying together once again.

I saw that earlier on the news. It really is a shame to live that long and have complications from Covid-19 take you out. Very sad ...

Agree that this is very sad.
