Appreciate the suggestion. I will definately do that.
I've been thinking about building an Optima for a while now. Yours looks great! Thanks for writing the tube lengths on the pdf, that was a big help when I was going through my parts bins. |

I built an Optima to fly at NARAM-32.
I bought a kit but only used the nose cone, decals and the forward balsa strakes/fins. The body tubes were stock AeroTech/LOC 2.6" diameter with pre-made fin slots. I cut three fins from plywood with TTW tabs. The motor mount was an entire AeroTech FIN-LOK and ejection baffle system. I set the motor mount up to handle up to 29mm diameter low 'H' impulse motors. I have only flown the model with F25-6W motors. This model is featured at the beginning of my post about the history of the original Estes Pro Series kits: https://forums.rocketshoppe.com/showthread.php?t=8736

That’s a very pretty Optima!
