Once again, some old BARS travelled to Dove Valley Park for some rocket flying on a fine September morning.

Great looking birds! Sounds like you guys had a terrific day. How many launches is that for your venerable Hornet (I remember reading about its construction and premier launch)? And how did your video turn out?

Ed,

Great pictures, and so bummed I could not make it down to the launch. I’ll be looking forward to the next.

It’s been way too long since I’ve flown on a big grassy field!

Hi, Joe,

This was flight #48 for the ol' Hornet. Two more, and the bird gets to retire.

The video turned out great. I got a good frame of me holding the launch controller and looking up. The model was 30 -40 feet altitude for that one. If I can figure out how to pull stills off the video I will post them here. Cyberlink Power Media Player 14 goes black when I try to use Snipping Tool or take a screen shot. The player has a single frame save option that supposedly creates a file, but when I try to find that file, it's nonexistent. Weird.

Lee,
I hope to plan another launch at Dove Valley mid to late October. I will let you know well in advance.
