Default Quest / MRC motors

I came across what I thought were first genertion Quest BP motors with white labels, but upon peeling the label off, it turns out they are re-labeled MRC motors, or at least MRC casings. The casing says "Made in W. Germany", the label says "Made in USA".
I've dug through the various Quest threads here, and it's certainly a complicated history, but I don't see any references to this dual "Made In" period. Looks like they're some variant of the MOOG-NICO/Sachsen period. This post from Bill comes close:

Any additional info on these?

Anyhow, I flew a B6-4 recently, and the TigerTail worked perfectly, though I had to lightly sand the copper to remove oxidation.

Wow. I totally missed that post from Bill. I’ll have to go back to correct some posts.
