Hi David,
If you get a chance, would you mind measuring the circuit board? I took measurements from the photo in the manual, and assuming the aspect ratio is correct, I came up with the following scaled down values: Length: 1.705" (43.3mm) Width: 0.901" (22.9mm) Thanks! -Frank |

I get this...dimensions in ( ) are sort of guesses since they are buried inside the plastic parts. Give me a few days and I will see if I can upload these CAD parts as stl files or such. I can't swear 100% accuracy because some of the holes and stuff are buried behind components and I can't reach them with my calipers but it's pretty close. |

Wow! What you have there is great already! I've started to design the battery holder and other supports, but you're much further along than I am.
It seems my board measurements from the manual were spot on! Don't worry about measuring everything on the board. The holes for each component may end up not being exactly what they were back then due to part availability. I've already started the KiCad board layout, so I'll be going with that for the board order. One item that will be of use though is the outside diameter of the two coil forms. I have the correct size slugs as samples from micrometals.com, so the outside diameters will be a great help. Thanks! -Frank |

Oh I wasn't going to attempt the components! I get 0.28" dia for the large coil and 0.21" for the small coil. Being thin paper (like launch lugs!) I had to get a max/min and then average the readings. |

Here are the stl files for the plastic pieces. I don't know how they will turn out! I talked to a friend at work who 3D prints from Solidworks for tips on the settings to export. After exporting, I opened the files with Windows "Print 3D" and they at least look like they are supposed to. I am not sure how well the small details will 3D print with a hobbyist printer. I saved them with units of "Inches"

Progress is being made. This is the KiCad model I've built up so far (using Rocketguy101's models).

I realized I needed to modify the thumb tab on the Transroc. The injection molded part has a draft angle so the tab is thicker at the base. So the “V2” versions have a tapered tab. Also the thru slot is moved slightly.
