Thanks guys for the suggestions on the tape. What I have coming in from Amazon tomorrow is 3M precision masking tape #06529 3/4x60 yds and #06525 1/4"x60 yds.

There was a comment in the feedback by one user it was low tack ... I've never used it before but they had Prime shipping and I wanted it here for Friday so I can finish my project. I hope it works well. I couldn't find the Tamiya tape but I know others speak very highly of that brand so I was really looking for that. Good to know Sirius Rocketry has it I have purchased from them before but didn't even think to look there for Tamiya tape.

I'll let you guys know how this 3M stuff works. Tomorrow around noon will be three days so my recoat window will be up. I want to paint two horizontal stripes in black and two horizontal stripes in red on the white background of the body tube and mask off to paint all the fins red. Not a lot of tape needed but I sure don't want it to bleed or lift up.

I went thru my collection of decal “leftovers” and found enough to complete my Saturn IV. May give it a coat of matte clear to dull the gloss a bit.

This last week I made good progress on projects.

Super Sky Hook
It might get fins painted red tomorrow if weather cooperates. I’ll have Mark Hayes of Stickershock do a name decal in vinyl when he opens back up. (For comparison, next to it is a Semroc Sky Hook II, a very slight upscale of the standard Sky Hook.)

Estes V-2
Built originally with scale fins, it got some added details, and nose cone received a pointy tip extension. The nose cone has a coat of first color, a grayish white, next come the tan and green layers for a ragged camo paint job.

Estes Phoenix
Sitting in primer. A final sanding should have it ready for its white paint.
