You really should be more specific about what motors your smaller igniters will fit in and light

Those are not igniters.
They are dips for starters to intensify them.

When you make your own you make them to your own specs. Make them big or make them small. Do as you wish.

Okay, I browsed the site for other offerings and found this: QuickBurst Small Igniter Kit As part of the information I found this: Each kit includes the materials needed to make at least twenty 12″ Igniters. Depending on your lead length. Possibly more. Great for igniting smaller motors. Now, how about being more specific and telling us just what "smaller motors " you are talking about . |

FYI, They will work in 18mm and up. They are also some of the best on the market and will light some of the most stubborn composites. The DIY kits work. BTW, he did answer your question.

Did anybody start humming Montrose's "Bad Motor Scooter" when they saw the title?

No he did not. "When you make your own you make them to your own specs. Make them big or make them small. Do as you wish. " That doesn't tell me what nozzles they'll fit in and whether or not they'll contact the slot in the propellant properly. I'm not in the habit of spending money to experiment when a little precision is all that's asked for,. This is rocket science you know. And by the way, if his explanation was so clear why did feel the need to add " They will work in 18mm and up.''? |

Simple answer.
A. You pick the lead wire. And the resistance wire. B. I supply the dip. C. You make your starters fit the nozzles you have. You can make small ones or you can make large ones. You can make starters for Black Powder motors or APCP motors or Hybrid motors. Its your choice. I don't understand what you don't understand about the whole idea. Is there anything I can do to clarify? David Bachelder DBA QuickBurst www.quickburst.net |
