I carpool with a former soldier who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bad guys are already using quad-copters to drop grenades on our troops. It doesn't have to be sophisticated to be lethal. And it would be the height of arrogance to assume all Iranian weaponry is garbage. We trained them up to 1979, now they learn from China. When they wanted to send a "message" to the US and fired ballistic missiles near a US-manned base in Iraq, everything appeared to work according to plan. Sure - they struggle in some areas. The "stealth fighter" they displayed a few years ago was comical. But they focus a lot of time and effort on missiles, just like the Norks, and their stuff likely works well enough to be a problem.

More like well enough to be a NUISANCE.
That whole supposed "country" is a nuisance to world stability.

In Ukraine, RC hobbyists became warriors by modifying commercial quadcopters to drop RPG's, WITHOUT the rocket part, just the warhead, empty body and fins, dropped vertically down onto tanks. They have killed a LOT of tanks, and also troops not in tanks, using this method. Here's one video of many (this got more attention around March-April-May, searches for many "drone bomb" videos end up being more about the more recent kamikaze ones). This video shows several tanks being hit (camera pointed straight down). Sometimes the first bomb misses, the drone moves a bit to compensate for wind drift, and drops again. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z7bgWe7a5tU Take note that by using multicopters with GPS systems (as all of those do), the drone can "hover" exactly in place regardless of wind. If the wind is 12.8 mph from the north, the multicopter flies with an *airspeed* of 12.8 mph to the north, for a net zero velocity relative to the Earth, stationary (I love doing that with my quadcopters when their GPS is behaving properly, they hover in place regardless of wind). So, some of the Ukraine multicopter drones carry about 4 RPG type bombs. They have also use much larger multicopters to carry as many as 8 to 10 bombs. and/or larger/heavier bombs with more powerful warheads. That 10 mile stretch of highway littered with tanks trying to get to Kyiv early in the war? A significant number of those tanks were destroyed or immobilized by drones, particularly at the ends, "trapping" the tanks and other vehicles from easily escaping so they could be attacked by other weapons and Ukraine ground troops.

Given the damage they've inflicted, I'd say they're pretty darn good. Course you won't see any of that on the intelligence service controlled mainstream media...
Blew a 155 howitzer clean in half... taking out tanks and trucks. Don't need a blockbuster amount of explosive if it's the right type and shaped charge or whatever... Later! OL J R
