There is now a vintage clear slide-top #88N Hobby Den set on ebay.
It looks complete too.

Looks like the one I bought in 2017, for the same price. These look good hanging above a workbench. I posted a photo of mine in post #10 of this thread.

I don't have an 88N, but am using restraint here.
I do now have a #99, two #89 sets, a #87, two #86, a #84, a deluxe craft tool set, a Miniaturists set, a Standard #83, and a really old Basic #82 set.
Most contain additional tools. The ones that did not have a #6 handle have all had one added except the #82. It won't fit in that box.
I'm a BIT of a HordaQ when it comes to Xacto tools.
Still looking for #6L, #5L, and #7KP handles. Would like to find the retractable blade versions of the #1 and #2 knives, but those will probably be impossible. Those were only in ONE catalog.

Tested out the battery Power Drill in my #99 set today; it works and appears to have never been used, but the internal gears are obviously devoid of any lubricant. It squeals like a loose alternator v-belt on a 70's muscle car.
I'm going to have to disassemble the front end to get some Teflon grease on the gears.
Thaty'll doo for another 50 years or so.

Yeah, yeah. Ok.
Here's a couple pics of the set that Scott and tbzep asked for.
Added a "Big Honker" #6 handle, of the 3rd type with the modern ferrule type.
Also added a #4 stencil knife.

Trying to figure out how to turn the "hot knife" attachment for the soldering iron into a BRANDIN' IRON.
Just because you never know when you are going to have a need to BRAND.

Here’s your 7KP handle. Looks like it has some ‘trade name’ on it, like it was given away as business promo or such.

Thanks a ton, Earl !
I snapped it up on that "Buy it Now" $44.99 price.
Seeing as it's the only one I have ever seen not in a display set, I found that quite reasonable.

Yeah, sure. So, when you see that boxed Enerjet Athena listed for a similar But It Now price I’ll expect to see a similar return notice from you.

That Enerjet Athena would be MINE.
Would happily pass along a SECOND one though....
That's one of very few kits I'd pay STUPID money for...
