I gotta think BAD.
They need to keep a hobbyist or at least hobby industry person in this position.
I can't see any upside here for us as hobbyists. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the BT years before Hobbico ownership. Prior to this move, EL has only made good decisions, especially with the GOEX acquisition.

Looking at her resume it looks like she has a experience in both “hard” industries - Hayes Instruments and “soft” one - Select Distribution, a skateboard maker/distributor. With the Langfords as top dogs I don’t have much concern about the rocketry side, if Ms Muckenthaler keeps the day to day business side running - making sure the bills get paid, deals get done, people are taken care of - then Estes should be fine.

If she turns out to be an over-educated MBA type who thinks they can turn Estes rockets into the next My Little Pony, Transformers or Legos then we’re in trouble.

I’m not really worried about John Langford‘s ability to pick management. He has a pretty good track record.
