Default Rusty

So, getting back on the horsie after 9+ months. This weekend I started thinking seriously about a project that I'd hinted at on my blog back in April, upscaling the MRN Moonraker, a great looking, but TINY BT-20 to BT-5 bird. It just begged to be upscaled to either a BT-55/50 or BT-60/55 bird. I dusted off the abacus and got to cipherin'. Turns out the BT-60/55 size appealed to me more, so I dialed up eRockets and ordered a nose cone and transition. They arrived yesterday. Just as I ordered them. I got the transition right, but the nose cone was supposed to be a BT-55 series and I picked BT-60. Bad news is that my project will be on hold until I get the chance to sit down and figure out which BNC-55 cone will look closest to the BNC-5W that the original kit had. Good news is that I now have a BNC-60 cone to design something around.

Wouldn't hurt. We love talking about glue. Welcome back!

BTW, I got access to a large format scanner that "might" be capable of digitizing the AVI Astroport Encyclog. What's it been? Nine years?

I think about that every now and then. Last week I was looking at scanners that could scan all the really odd sized negatives my family used over the years. I've been getting assailed with ads ever since.

We haven't had a decent glue thread in years.
Welcome back, Bill !

A GLUE thread? Really? What we REALLY need is a sanding sealer thread! We haven’t had one of those in a good 5 minutes—maybe even longer.

Right.
Sanding sealer has been the "chemical du jour", hence we need to switch to GLUE.

What about lacquer thinner? You know, the real stuff? We need a thread on that cause you can thin fillers and sealers with the real stuff.

BTW, why don't they make scented candles with the scents of lacquer thinner, acetone, freshly mixed concrete, fresh drywall, original Hoppes #9, or even used motor oil? You know...stuff we like to smell.
