EMRR has a template widget you can download that does miter & transition templates :

http://archive.rocketreviews.com/to...te_widget.shtml

Just enter the OD of the tube, angle of the bevel and print.

Lots of other good widgets on that site too.

If I could only convince the powers to be to add a Output to DXF button on that template widget I would be in heaven.

Hmmmm........Wanna get into the high power rocketry business without getting into the high power rocketry business? A motor adapter from 24mm to 29mm. Perfect for when you wanna fly a high power rocket but the wind isn't cooperating (i.e., don't want to track it down for miles). Of course, I am assuming the new 24mm black powder motor will have some umph.....

Here is a list of new products I'd LIKE Estes (or anyone else) to come out with-no excuses why it can't be done, just DO IT.

18mm motors:
B4-6
B14-3,5,7,0
B8-3,5,7,0
C5-3,5,0
D8-3,0

24mm
D11-9
D30-3,5,7,0
E40-4,6,8,10,0

Motors that could be permanently scrapped:
B4-4, B6-6 (If the B4-6 comes back and the B6-4 stays, they have ZERO legitimate use)
C6-3 and C6-0 if we can get a return of the FAR SUPERIOR C5-3 and C5-0.

I would really like to see Estes use THEIR BRAIN POWER when it comes to motor choices now that the nitwit is gone.

I believe one of those motors was announced some time ago that it would be coming back. At least I have been test flying the motor so it could happen. And no I can't tell you which motor.

I also agree that I would like to see a B4-6 motor instead of a B6-6 motor but since its main advantage would be for competition altitude models I would never win that argument to get this motor produced. And yes I know it can be used for non competition models but for the average person you'll never notice the difference between the two motors.

By the way why would you keep both the B4-2 and the B6-2 motors?

I wouldn't presume to speak for ghrocketman, but I can give good reasons for keeping the B4-2 and B6-2. The B4-2 is a good motor for boost-gliders and for large models such as the Big Bertha. The B6-2 would work well in heavier boost-gliders (such as the foam Space Shuttle) and for heavy scale models and heavy, draggy, large-diameter payload models using single or clustered motors.

Which motor in my requested list did they announce would come back ?

The only new ones I was aware of were the A10-0T and the A8-0, neither of which are on my list.

The B6-6 does nothing that the B4-6 can't and the B4-6 is easier to ignite as an upper stage motor due to larger nozzle opening. Would have made much more sense to scrap the B4-4 which makes ZERO sense at all compared to the B6-4.

It would be interesting to see a compiled list of motors by the number of current Estes that recommend their use. A bonus would be to also see the sales volumes (both kit and motors,) but that would clearly be the kind of proprietary information that Estes wouldn't want to make public.

My hypothesis is that Estes makes motors for its kits, but that's more like the bleeding obvious.
