In the past Jet-x was available, also Rapiers for airplane model use. You can't find anything for them anymore. Have you thought about adding a whole new market to your product line?

I would like the last 10 minutes of my life back after having read this ridiculous thread. I should have known better.

Your first big clue was who the OP was.

Often times a lot of what he write is like reading it using a very dirty mirror.

As it's often backwards/opposite, or does not reflect reality very reliably.

I re-read this entire thread for entertainment while waiting in the Little Rock airport.

Some of you may not be aware that I’ve known Mr. Irvine for a long time, since he was about 14 years old flying rockets at Anaheim Stadium.

Oh, real certified G8s and G12s are coming. Not vaporware.

Are they coming from Aerotech or Jerry Irvine ?

From Jerry's roundabout description, especially the part about needing a larger diameter if more thrust is desired, tells me that these are end-burning motors.

The "unanswered question" is how can you have a "solid rocket propellant" ( pre-mixed oxidizer & propellant ) that does not come under BATFE "scrutiny" or HAZMAT, especially in HPR motors ?

What is the ISP of this "mystery propellant" ?

Can it also be used in non-endburning motors ?

Can its Burn Rate be increased and still remain "exempt" ?

Bingo.

I haven’t heard from Jerry for several years, and we haven’t had a business relationship with him since the ‘80s.

The only "problem" is that a "G8" would have only 33% more thrust than an Estes "C6" and a "G12" would be like a 13 second Estes "D12" . . . Like the old FSI "Steam Machine" - "F7", they will not have much weight-lifting ability . . . Maybe best as an Upper Stage motor ?

They were designed for use with Thrust Vector Control systems.

Correct, the G8 and G12 are also useful in gliders, the G12 can easily be flown in a light single-stage rocket. Either could be used as an upper stage as well.
