Default Fantastic deal!!! Only $700.00! Worth $2k - $3k easy!!!

See, this is why the market for collectible model rockets is so baseless at times:

SPACE 1999 : EAGLE TRANSPORTER FLYING ROCKET 1976 (DJ)

http://cgi.ebay.com/SPACE-1999-EAGL...lle ctables_EH

http://tinyurl.com/36xou25

People who don't understand values, see auctions like this and suddenly an Alpha is worth $200+ ...

So who here is going to jump on that Eagle Transporter???

Jonathan

Well. it is for the starter set kit...But seriously, that is a bit ridiculous..He does have a 'best offer' option though.

The KOOK trying to get $700.00 for that thing must have fallen out of a VERY tall tree and bumped his head VERY HARD before setting that price. I would not give $70 for that lousy-flying ugly turd let alone $700. Just because something is rare and old does not mean it is worth ANYTHING.

If I had the money and I DON'T, I would go $125 - $150 and that is because it is a Sci-Fi cross-over kit. Space 1999 Year One was ASWESOME. Year two was SUCKY!!!

So as both a Sci-Fi collectible and a model rocket collectible, it does have SOME value; just not $700 ... I wish it WAS worth even $500 as I would sell the sealed ones I have and use the money for a down payment on a new mini-van!

I'm not sure who might go for this one, but if someone does, I'm buying 12-packs of Alphas immediately ...

I also think that Space:1999 was a bigger hit in the UK then it was here.....so that may have something to do with it as well

Capitalism, my friend. You might try listing one of yours for only $500 and see if you get any bites...

Two of them sold in 2005.....................

One for $200, the second for $127.50. And that was back in the days before the recession (when everybody had money) and when Ebay was newer and more novel (=higher prices). So this guy is just 'fishing' for a moron. Hopefully he won't find one.

Agree with mojo; fishing for a MORON. Actually this falls more into IDIOT class. Morons at least have SOME sense.
